Diary 95: Issue solving Day

Well, before I start, I would like to say that the major part of the day was actually night. After writing the post last night, I was trying to solve the issue at hand. Sarvesh was also there with me, and was looking at those issues. Meanwhile, I and Mahak had a small fight, and she supposedly blocked me on gmail. I didn't tested whether she blocked me or not, and I continued  my work. Lots of things were discussed and finally we arrived at an acceptable solution. It was already 5:30 am, and so I mailed the latest version to the team, and slept. Today, I woke up at around 12:30 pm. I brushed my teeth, and went online. I checked my work mails. There was not much development from Gil's end till then. Meanwhile, I had my breakfast. I started listening to songs on YouTube. I decided to play the electric guitar along with them, and then recorded a small piece of music too. It was not that good, but still I kept it. Then, my sister arrived from school. She got some of her papers evaluated. She got 38 in Maths, 32 in Hindi, 22 in English, 34 in SST. Everything was out of 40. She was disappointed about English, but happy about maths. She refused to show me the papers. Anyways, I had lunch, and then moved back to my room. Then, we got a mapping document from Gil, so I started looking into it. It was a huge document, and it seemed that we would need few more days to just understand it. At around 5 pm, I, Akshay and Dallas had a call regarding the feasthunt project. After that call, I reverted to work, and also to YouTube video watching. Then, later in the afternoon, I realized that India are on the brink of losing one more Test match in England. Tendulkar made an half century but all was in vain. Dhoni was out first ball. Most of the players were out for a single figure. Lets see if India can maintain the top spot in Test Rankings. Then, I moved back to my room, and browsing random things. I decided to watch the movie "Badmaash Company" tonight. So, I put it for streaming. Then, I got a bad news that my choto mami's mother has expired. Though, I was not that close to her, but I remember her when I had met her. I don't know yet how it happened, but we all will miss her. May her soul rest in peace. Next, I started to write this post while listening to songs. Next, I plan to have dinner and then watch the movie. I plan to sleep by 3:00 am.

Diary 94: Dhoni's Call Back Day

Yesterday I slept at around 4:15 am. Today, I woke up at around 2:00 pm. I was initially shocked to see the time as I couldn't believe that I slept till 2. Anyways, I brushed my teeth, had some Tea, and then went online. As expected Gil sent a mail saying that the issues need to be resolved today, and the issue that I was handling was the one with the highest priority. So, I started working on it. Meanwhile, I was still addicted to two "remix" songs named "I wanna go" and "Till the world ends", both by Britney spears. Then, I had lunch at around 3 pm. And then I again started looking at that issue. Today, I was looking at the issue with fresh eyes, and this helped me a lot. Suddenly, I was able to see patterns in the way the whole code was running. I was finally able to point out which part of the code was faulty, and this was the "Eureka" moment for me. For the next 2 hours, I fought with the code to make it work. But as usual, the fight had its casualties. Some part of the code had to be disabled since it was that section which was the main cause of trouble. So, I composed a mail to everyone, and explained everything to them. Then, my attention moved to the cricket match between India and England. Well, it was England's day through out, but then there was an event on the field. Ian Bell was given run out controversially. He went out of the crease thinking that it was Tea already, and India knocked the stumps. Initially, Dhoni didn't withdrew the appeal, and hence received a lot of criticism from everywhere. Obviously the run out was technically right, but it was deemed against the spirit of the game. After the tea, everyone at the stadium was "booing" when the Indian team was coming back to the ground. Then, suddenly, Ian bell was there in the ground with the bat. I would say "brave" and "manly". Dhoni proved to the rest of the world that we are champions not only at the game but also at heart. I loved the decision. He set an example for everyone. This will be remembered. A truly leader he is. Anyways, the match was not going India's way. The pitch was flat and England ruthlessly hit the Indian bowling attack at every corner of the ground. After all this, I had dinner and moved back to my room. I decided to write this post while listening to those remixes. Meanwhile, I got a mail from Gil asking me about the issues. So, I replied to it with my ideas and opinions. Next, I plan to work on one of the ideas and then sleep by 3:00 am.

Diary 93: Dominoes Day

Yesterday I slept at around 4:30 am. I was relieved that it was a weekend now. Today I woke up at around 11:15 am. But the waking up was filled with a bit of drama. Firstly I saw a message from Akshay saying that he is not coming, and "it seems like a waste of time" for him. I was a bit taken aback by that, but I controlled myself. After that I called up the developer guy, and told him that we are not coming but asked him to prepare the cost document, to which he replied that they don't do that unless it is a final deal. So, after this, I messaged Akshay that I can understand, and also that the developer guy is not ready to give the document. Then, suddenly Akshay called me up and said that he was just joking, and he is indeed coming. He was on the way. I was elated and called up the developer guy again, who gave us the time as 2:30 pm. So, I got up, got ready for the meeting, ate my breakfast, and waited for Akshay's call. Then, after the call came, I went to pick up Akshay from the station. Well, I was prepared to bring him home, but I didn't want to reveal the Feasthunt thing to my family members yet. So, he suggested some mall to sit. We went to McDonald's first where he ate his lunch, and discussed some really important stuff such as number of target clients, cost structure, next steps etc. Then, we moved to CCD, because Akshay wanted some coffee urgently. He is a coffee addict. Anyways, when went to the CCD in CBD belapur. After that, we moved to the developer's office but he wasn't there yet. We spoke to the people there, who showed us some sites that they were working on, and we really liked them. But the main guy didn't arrive, and hence we left as my sister had to go to tuition and also Akshay had to go somewhere. So, after dropping off Akshay to the station, I went back home, ate my lunch and went to Nerul to drop off my sister. After that I started browsing random stuff and watching YouTube videos. This went on till around 7 pm, when I had some Tea. I came to know that Dravid made another century. This tour is going awesome for him. But unfortunately India were all out for 288. It's a small lead but India would have to bowl very well to restrict England. After that, Dad and my sister arrived, and they brought dominoes pizza. Well, I am not a big fan but I somehow managed it with Garlic Bread and Coke. After that, I and my sister had some chat, and singing sessions. Also, we watched some YouTube videos together. Then, I had a chat session with my cousin from Bangalore. It was quite nice. I came to know about her ambitions, and I was quite impressed by the clarity of her way to that goal. After that, I again started browsing YouTube videos, and came across desihits.com, which I loved at lot. They made awesome remixes to shitty britney spears songs. It made me love britney spears. Then, I decided to write this post. Now, I will watch some more videos and then sleep by 3:00 am.

Diary 92: The "One" issue day

Yesterday I slept at around 5 am. But before that, I was able to fix one important issue with the code. I felt very happy when I did that because no one was able to figure it out that time. Anyways, today I woke up at around 12:00 pm. I went online, and realized that the there is no issue in the code, except for one. So, I took that up and tried to debug it. Slowly I realized that the error is not that simple as it seemed. Meanwhile, my sister came back home after her last unit test today. She was extremely happy because her exams went well, and were finished for the time being. Anyways, after having some lunch, I went back to the problem, and tried to solve it. We had a deadline of 5:30 pm, but clearly we were going to cross that. I and Sarvesh were basically puzzled by the behavior of the code. In between, some of the older issues also crept up but I managed to handle them finally. At around 6:30 pm, we gave up and decided to wait for Gil. I started doing time pass, and browsing randomly. Then Alok pinged me and said that he was composing the drums track for the song we recently composed. Till now, it is just an instrumental. After this, I decided to record the song myself. I took out my electric guitar and started recording it. It sounded quite nice. I added few more tracks such as bass, solo and filler. It sounded good. So, I sent it over to Alok, who was now using it to make the drums on his drum machine. He liked my recording except the filler arrpegios. Anyways, we also jammed for sometime. Then, I got a mail from Gil asking that who all are free for weekend. I mailed him saying that I was partially free. Then, Mahak pinged me and told me that she didn't get the job that she applied for. This made her angry and sad too. I tried to console her, but a part of me said that why it should be me only who consoles her, why not her boyfriend ? Then, she went away and I continued with the music sessions. After lots of discussion here and there, we finally fixed dropbox as the means for sharing the files between us. I uploaded my recording but Alok asked me to remove it, so I had to. Later, I was watching YouTube videos and all. I was revising Coke Studio songs, and shared few of them with Alok. Also, today the second test match between India and England started. England were all out for 221, and India were 24/1 at stumps. After all the chatting, I wrote this post, and now I plan to sleep by 4:15 am.

Diary 91: Too much work Day

Yesterday I slept at around 5:00 am. After completing my work, I was watching "Wall street 2", but didn't complete that because I felt sleepy. Today, I woke up at around 11:00 am. As usual, my day started with a call from Ankit. He asked me about the mails that I sent last night. I told him the exact issue that was faced by us, and then went online to check the latest issues etc. And then the hectic day started. We had a webex meeting regarding the issue. My internet was sometimes working and sometimes not. After that, I started multi tasking between movie, chatting and work. I continued with the "Wall Street 2" movie. It was just fine, and was kind of expected. I relaxed a bit during this period as I was already tired by the work last night. Then, the work load increased. There were lots of issues and we had to figure out what caused them etc. So, I and Sarvesh started exploring independently. Meanwhile, I had my lunch. After lunch, I continued to look into the problem, and it was partially solved by around 6:00 pm. Then, I asked Sarvesh to fix some other issue and pass on the file to Gil. After this, I relaxed a bit, and fortunately my net was also not working properly, so I got some free time. After he re-sent the file, I started having doubts on the approach that Sarvesh has used. I didn't get the logic of that, so I dig deeper and found few discrepancies in that. I used my whiteboard to the full use to find out the error. But, I didn't try to fix it because Gil was supposed to send us one more version which had some changes from the client side. So, I waited. Then, I started giving tips to my sister on Mathematics as tomorrow was her unit test. Meanwhile, Alok had fancied a chord sequence. So, then I decided to learn it, and then may be improvise on it. He asked me to add some classical vocals to it. Though it seemed odd at first, but then it turned out to be very nice. After a lot of experiments here and there, we decided to call it a day. I recorded the music on my iPod, so that we don't forget it. I mailed it to Alok then. After that, I reverted back to the problem solving. I realized that it is too late to sleep if I want to go to office tomorrow, so I decided to work instead. Well, the decision proved costly. I found out that there are lots of issues to be solved. I tried out few things but they didn't seem to work. Then, Gil told me the next steps and action items. I told him that we can continue in the morning, and he agreed. Then, I went offline. Now, after writing this post, I will try few more things, and sleep by 5:00 am. 

Diary 89: WFH and Late work Day

Yesterday I slept at around 3:00 am. I was watching "Sita sings the blues", but I stopped in between as it turning out to be a boring story instead of a satire. Anyways, I woke up today at around 11:30 am. Ankit called me at around 10:00 am, where I told him that I have some work, so I will work from home. Anyways, after brushing my teeth and all, I went online and got ready for the ISB feedback session. It was at 12:00 pm, so I was ready with the phone and all. I called the number, and then the concerned person gave the feedback. He said that my profile was liked by the interview profile and also that the interview was fine. I was shocked to hear that especially after the disastrous performance at the interview. He added that the main reason for rejection was my lack of experience, and that I have good chances in case I apply again. Well, this disappointed me because I was short of just 2 months for a 2 year experience profile. Anyways, after that I started working on the problem. I tried but again the same issues are coming up. Then, I decided to watch "Stanley ka dabba". It was a good movie. There were some very nice moments in the movie. But, something was missing- may be the punch or the glorification of Stanley. It was at times too unreal to believe. Anyways, it was better than normal. After that, I had lunch. Lunch was awesome - baingaan ka bharta and roti. After the lunch, I was just browsing through normal stuffs. Later on, I decided to play the guitar for a while. I called up the Webprint Guy and set up a meeting with him. Then, I took a small nap followed by a bath. I went for the meeting, which I recorded also. After the discussion, I came back home and sent the recordings to Dallas and Akshay. Then, I had some Tea and watched the TV. After that I decided to work on the problem again, and this time kill the issue forever. So, I started working on it. I even contacted Fahad to know the origins of the issue. Meanwhile, I had my dinner in form of Khichdi. Later, I contacted Gil and we had few sessions of screen sharing to fully understand the issue. I continued with the problem and finally I was able to spot the problem. Then, we again had a discussion on the correction of the issue. I tried a few things here and there, but it didn't work. But the good news was that the problem was now spotted. This went on till 3:30 am. Then, I decided to write this post. Next, I plan to sleep by 4:15 am. I may or may not go to office tomorrow.

Diary 88: WFH and Movie Day

Yesterday I slept at around 5:30 am. I was video chatting with Mahak, and also watching the movie "Band Baaja Baarat", but then it was too late so I left it in between and slept. Mahak was sad about her bf. She was not getting any attention. I tried to calm her a bit, and show the right direction. I hope she finds it. Anyways, I woke up at around 11:00 am. I brushed my teeth, and then went online. I told Ankit that I will work from home on the issue. After that, we got a mail from Gil where I found out that there have been significant changes to the part of the problem I have been working on. So, I was a bit taken aback, but started again. Also, I got a call from the Webprint guy. He wanted to schedule a meeting, so I gave him the time for tomorrow evening. Meanwhile, I completed the movie that I had left. Then, at around 2:30 pm, I had lunch. Then, I decided to watch the movie "Tanu weds Manu". So, I started loading it, and also concentrated on the problem. Then, I left the problem and started watching the movie full time. It was just fine. Nothing special and very expected. Today, my sister was super busy with her preparations for tomorrow's exam i.e. English. In the late afternoon, I came to know that India is in trouble against England, and also that Sachin is probably playing the last test match at Lord's. Bows for Sachin, he is a great inspiration. Later that day, I found out that India lost the match by 196 runs- such a shame. Meanwhile, I started chatting with Alok and Mahak. Mahak was bit down today, but recovered from her anxiety to dump her bf. That is good news. Anyways, the chat went on and on, and we shared lots of YouTube videos etc. One of them was one of Coke Studio - ghir ghir. That song gave a new high. I was literally high on emotions and adrenaline. Also, Mahak gave me this link to a documentary named "sita sings the blues", which is supposed to be a satire on Ramayana. I may watch it after writing this post. Also, I plan to watch "Stanley ka Dabba" tomorrow. Now, I plan to sleep by 2:30 am.

Diary 86: Lazy and Movie(s) Day

Yesterday I slept at around 4:20 am. I completed the movie "Kissing Cousins". It was good. Today, I woke up at around 11:30 am. I was frustrated that I woke up so late. Anyways, I had my breakfast, Tea and started browsing on net. I started watching the movie "Dil to bachcha hai ji". It was not that good. Very unnatural and unreal movie. Shruti Hassan was the only good thing in the movie. At around 2:20 pm, I had lunch, and watched the TV for a while. After that, I continued with the movie. Then, in the afternoon, I and my sister had a small fight on general issues. I even asked her few science questions on her wish, because her unit tests are starting from Monday. Then, the big fight started. My sister was promised Dominos pizza by my Dad recently, so today was that day. She asked me to order, and while we were choosing the menu, the bill closed in to 1000 Rs. I asked my sister to tell this to Mom and Dad, so that there is no issue later on. Well, as expected, Dad rejected it. He said that 1000 is too much. And then the fight started. My sister didn't eat the snacks mom made, and was very angry on Dad and also me because I told her to ask Dad. Mom later said that she was willing to pay for it on her own, and so I shouldn't have done that. Dad, on the other hand, was totally unmoved. He seemed angry but I didn't bring up the topic. I decided that I will try to bring things normal from my side. I ate the snacks, even chatted normally with Mom and sister. Dad seemed quiet, so I didn't stir any conversation with him. I had my dinner at around 10:00 am. After the dinner, I started watching videos of India Pak and India SL cricket world cup 2011 videos. I was loving it. I was just wondering how team India was able to reach the summit. I got only one answer - determination. If you are not determined, then you will not reach the destination. After that, Mahak messaged me on chat, and after some random chatting, she gave me the link to the new movie - "Chillar Party". She praised it a lot, so I decided to watch it. Well, the movie turned out to be awesome. I loved it. I will recommend it to my sister and mother. I cried a lot during the movie, not because the movie was emotional. I cried because it reminded me of my rich childhood, and the recent lack of friends in my life. This movie also had the same message - "never give up, be determined". After the movie, I told Mahak that everyone should see this movie - adult or a kid. Then, I started writing this post. Now, I plan to browse random stuffs and then sleep by 3:45 am.

Diary 85: Office and Movie(s) Day

Yesterday I slept at around 2:30 am. I faced a 72 minute limitation while watching the movie "Pyaar ka Panchnaama". Anyways, today I woke up at 8:00 am, got ready for office, ate my breakfast, and left for office with Dad. I reached office at around 11:15 am, only to find the door locked. I called up Ankit, and he said that he was outside and was on his way. During that time, I just roamed around the floor and looked at the other offices present there. It was quite a mixture of offices ranging from Motion pictures to Shipping logistics. Anyways, Ankit didn't have the key, so we both waited for Sushma. After she arrived, we started our work. I decided to work on the latest problem i.e. the DT mapper thing. I helped Ankit with the previous problem also. We were on schedule to close the previous problem. Today, I had awesome lunch - Mutton keema and puri. In the afternoon, I and Akshay got a chance to speak with Harsh on legal and registration issues. He gave us some valuable inputs. After that, I continued with the work. I couldn't concentrate fully because I was distracted by one thing or the other. At around 5:00 pm, we all decided to leave. Dad called me up, and I said that I am on my way. I reached Bandra at around 6:10 pm, and then Dad's office at around 6:30 pm. I had to wait for a while there, because Dad was busy in some meeting. After that, we left for home. There was enormous traffic, and hence we reached very late at around 8:40 pm. After that, I had some Tea. I checked my mails and all, and then started watching the "Pyaar ka Panchnama" movie again. It was just awesome. I loved it. Meanwhile, I was chatting with Mahak, and she suggested me one more movie named "Kissing Cousins"- the name itself was so nice, I decided to watch it. But, before that I just blasted at her, and said all sorts of bad things to her. This was the effect of the movie on me. It showed how girls manipulate boys into doing stuffs and then dumping. I could somehow relate to it. Anyways, Alok also  messaged me that time. He was down with Malaria, but still active on chat. We started chatting about the girls in general before I reverted back to the movie. The other movie is awesome too. I loved few scenes in there. It is still not complete, and will watch it after I write this post. Mahak, meanwhile, was getting restless as usual. She was waiting for a job interview result. I hope she gets it. Next, I plan to watch the remaining part of the movie, and then sleep by around 4:00 am.

Diary 80: Sleeping and Facebook Deactivation Day

Yesterday I slept at around 3:00 am. Today, I woke up at around 10:30 am. I was still feeling very sleepy. I brushed my teeth and had my breakfast. After that I just checked my mails and all, and started browsing random stuff. After that I got bored and started watching the TV. Then, I moved back again to my room and just laid down on my bed. My sister was solving Physics questions, so I was guiding her in the solutions in between. She has certainly improved but still a long way to go. Then, we had our lunch. After that, I watched the TV for a while, and then again moved back to my room to sleep. But, I was continuously pestered by my sister. She was asking me a lot of questions on Physics. Although I liked answering those but she should give her full try first. Anyways, I slept off in a while. I woke up at around 7:30 pm. I went on to check my mails and all. I realized that tonight I will start with the No Facebook week. I was going to deactivate my Facebook account. Before that I played a lot of Fruit Slasher and Pacman there. I reached a new high score on Pacman, but I am way behind Anisha and Divyansh. Anyways, I started watching YouTube videos and also downloaded the guitar pro file of the song - "Numb". I wanted the drum track of that song, for my own song - In Palko. It fits very nicely, but later I lost interest in that, as it was not sounding very good. After all this, I had some Tea and some snacks, and started playing games on Facebook again. Then, I had dinner and watched the TV for a while. After that, it was around 11:15 am, when I decided that I should deactivate the account now. So, I did that and was feeling very good already. Meanwhile, I got a shocking mail from Gil that the project that was supposed to start tomorrow, is not starting before Wednesday. I was frustrated, and he also mentioned that please come to office like normal office day. I wondered how the hell will I go. I decided that I will assume that I didn't read the mail till the morning time and then I would say that it is too late to join in. I may go on Tuesday just to show my dedication. Basically, I want work. One more thing, today we were supposed to have a conference call with the Webprint Guy but Akshay ditched it for no particular reason. After all this, I started watching YouTube videos again. Also, I found a opened Wine bottle in the refrigerator. I wonder when was it opened. I had two sips from that, and kept it as I had found it. Then, I wrote this post and now, I am planning to sleep by 1 am. I am still sleepy. Damn !

Diary 78: BodoMama's promotion and More work Day

Well before I start writing about today, I would like to congratulate myself, for it the 100th post in this blog. I made it till here, let's see how far I can go. I know that nobody reads this blog, but this blog is for the future me. 

Yesterday I slept at around 2:15 am. I was trying to solve the problem for a while, but then stopped. Today I woke up at around 9:45 am. I jumped on to my work mail, and started working. I had my breakfast, and kept myself busy with work and all. At around 1 pm, I got the news that my bodomama (uncle) got a promotion. He is now a Senior Manager in Deloitte. It was quite expected given his tremendous efforts and hard work. After that, I kept on working for sometime. Then I had my lunch at around 2:40 pm. Also, I informed Akshay and Dallas that I will start with FeastHunt tomorrow, no matter what. Akshay is supposed to come down to Kharghar. Then, I started watching videos on YouTube again. I played the guitar also for a while. Then, in the late afternoon, I went on to watch the TV. I watched few shows on AXN and then watched an animation movie on HBO. Suddenly the lights went off, and we moved to my room. I started to play the acoustic guitar. Dad arrived then. He informed that there were few more bombs which were defused before they could go off. It is an unconfirmed report, but anyways. Then, the electricity was up again. I moved back to normal browsing and stuff. My sister's sir had arrived for the tuition. After the tuition, we all congratulated Bodomama for his achievement. Then, I moved back to my room and started uploading the pictures in a new Picasa Album for bodomimi and bodomama to see. It took a long time as there were so many pictures and all were high quality. Meanwhile, I had my dinner and watched TV for a while. After that, I again started watching YouTube videos. I found a new artist :Demi Lovato. She has a very strong voice. I feel that she is better than Miley or Selena or etc. Anyways, next I plan to sleep by 3:00 am. Nothing more special tonight although it is a FRIDAY NIGHT. 

Diary 76: Mumbai Blasts Day

Yesterday I slept at around 3:30 am. I recorded the song "Jodi tor daak shune" using SLR last night. Today I woke up at 10:30 am. I went online on my work mail and other mails. I realized that there was no new work on the previous problem front. So, then I decided to touch the JAVA book again. I started with the Day 12 of the book today. After sometime, I reverted back to watching videos and all. Also, I started uploading the video of "Jodi tor dak shune" on YouTube. I took around 4 hours to upload it. Anyways, meanwhile I was just browsing random stuff on the net. I had lunch. After that, I was again watching YouTube videos. This went on till the late afternoon, after which I decided to watch TV. I watched the Guiness book of world records show and Just for Gags show. It was a relief from the monotonous internet stuff. My laughter was suddenly broken by a phone call from my Uncle in Hyderabad. He said that there have been three bomb blasts in Mumbai - Dadar, Zaveri Nagar and Opera House. I was shocked to hear that. I immediately called up Dad and asked him about his location. He had already crossed Vashi, so he was no where near those places. The impact of the news was so much that I even got a call from Shiny, who is my childhood friend and lives in the building right in front of me, although right now she is in Hyderabad for her MBA. Anyways, after all this, I saw that I got a pretty negative comment on my video from Alok. He said that the best thing about it was the video quality. I was hurt, but I took it as a good point, and replied back that - "Yup, after all it is Canon SLR". Well, after that I turned my focus to the blasts. It was frustrating to see how the terrorists were successful again. Then, we had our dinner. After the dinner, I and my sister had a long discussion about general topics. I explained the relationship issues between India and Pakistan also. Then I told her that she should study properly and gain knowledge so that she can be on the right side of the crowd. Then, she left, but I was still in that mode. I already knew that I am wasting my life with all this YouTube and Social Networking. I need some inspiration in life. Recent events have been a drawback, but I didn't want to be a loser anymore. I want to be great again, an expert. I looked up YouTube for inspirational videos. The search returned a lot of them, and after watching them I even shed a few tears. That made me feel light, and inspired. I wanted to test the theory, so I took the bengali newspaper in my hand and started reading. I realized I couldn't read few words in between, but I decided to continue and not stop trying. To my surprise, I was able to decipher those complex words on my own by reading further and trying again and again. I got my answer. I must not stop. That is the only way. I must continue on the path. Fear will try to bring you back, but you should continue. I use these words often but never implement it. But, I guess now the time has come to implement it. Only then I can find salvation. Next, I plan to browse the internet somewhat, and then go to sleep by 2:00 am.

Diary 75: Some more work Day

Yesterday I slept at around 3:30 am. I was mainly figuring out the chords of the song "Saiyyan". Although some places were grey, I managed to figure them out more or less. I may even post them here on blog, so that I can refer to them, whenever I need them. Anyways, Today I woke up at around 10:00 am. We were supposed to have a call at 10:30 am to discuss the strategies, but I don't know what happened. Suddenly, Mukund and Sarvesh were kind of reluctant to a call, and instead wanted to chat. Now, I had no issues, but in my mind thought that a call is obviously better. Anyways, finally we had to set up a webex meeting because Sarvesh and Rohit didn't have skype installed on their machines. I didn't understand the need for more than one, because they were all supposed to be together. I guess, they were not together, that's why  they were so reluctant at the first place. The call went on for about 30-45 minutes. We discussed various possibilities, and then finally arrived at one. We needed to do a POC(Proof of Concept) for that. So, Ankit asked me to handle the DT part of the project. It was a modification but still needed some effort. So, there I was. I opened DT after a long time. It didn't took me long to figure out what needed to be done. But, I found out that I wouldn't be able to make it to the lunch at Bistro Grill, because it would take some time to make the changes. So, I informed Akshay about it. Then, I continued working on that, and finally completed it at around 2:30 pm. I passed on my part to others, and asked them to continue. After that, we had lunch. I and my sister started talking, and she was telling me about her seat partner throughout the afternoon. She had tuition at around 5 pm, so she left then. I was feeling very lethargic, and so decided to sleep. I woke up at around 7:30 pm. I was still kind of sleepy but managed to keep myself awake. I looked into the solution that they have built, but couldn't understand the reason. Anyways, I will wait till tomorrow, and ask them. After that, I started practicing music. I was supposed to make the video for "Saiyaan" today. I realized that I was not able to sing properly with the guitar, and later realized that the acoustic guitar is better for this song. Then my attention turned towards another song - "Jodi Tor daak shune keu". It was a classic song, and I have always wanted to cover it. So, I started working on this. Finally, after some re-takes I was satisfied with the performance. The video was HD, so will take a lot of time to upload. I decided to upload it tomorrow, because my Dad would obviously switch off the router pretty soon. Also, I was not able to open this blog, because of bandwidth issues. Anyways, after all this, I started writing this blog. Next, I plan to watch few more random videos and sleep by 2:30 am.

Diary 74: Some work Day

Yesterday I slept at around 1:30 am. But, bed bugs were bugging me all night through. Also, before sleeping I started an event on Facebook. I created an event named : "No Facebook for a week". Akshay thought that we can make it big with this event, but I was not interested in that. I just wanted to do it, so that I can concentrate on other things. Anyways, Today I woke up at around 10:00 am. I went online on the work mail, and found out that no one is online. After that, I brushed my teeth, and ate my breakfast. I realized that I should at least announce my come back to the work, so I pinged Mukund and Sarvesh. I also got to know about the status of one of the problems that Gil sent us. We all had a rigorous chat session in which we discuss possible solutions for the problem. Sarvesh and Mukund were too aggressive. I guess the lack of the UDT (Unstructured Data Transformation) project experience was hindering their thought. Anyways, they proposed a tons of solution but Gil kept turning them down. I also proposed some, but they were not feasible because half of the work has already been done, and the client was not ready to make big changes. So, we have a lot of constraints. Anyways, Gil has asked us to try out few solutions and approaches by replicating the scenario at our side. Let's see what do we come up with. After all this, I relaxed a bit, and played the guitar. I even tried to adjust the action of my guitar, but didn't go much further with that since I didn't want to screw things up. So, then I turned towards some training material (Advanced Power center). I found that they were quite complex and required lab exercises to fully grasp. But apparently, the server is not set up yet. So, I had no choice but to go through the slides. Then, during the late afternoon, I took a break, and just relaxed. I started watching coke studio videos. Then, I ordered McDonalds for me and my sister. After that, I started watching TV. The Discovery channel showed some interesting factory processes - Ballon, Car wheel, Envelope. After that I moved back to my room, and started watching YouTube videos. Then, I had dinner, and simultaneously started watching some other shows  on TV. Later, I started helping my sister to clear up her doubts. That ended badly. I lost my temper, and we started fighting like we did earlier. Anyways, pretty soon I got a call from Ankit, and we all dispersed. I explained the whole scenario with the problem and the solutions to Ankit. We have scheduled a call next morning to discuss the issue, so that will shed more light into the solution. After that, I reverted back to YouTube and Google Plus. I realized that now, I have equal number of friends on Facebook and Google Plus. But overall, I started hating the whole social networking thing. Then, I started writing this post, and next, I plan to sleep by 2:30 am.

Diary 73: Boring and Lazy Day

Yesterday I slept at around 4:30 am. I was mainly browsing the net, and doing infinite time pass. Anyways, Today I woke up at around 11:20 am. I brushed my teeth, and had some breakfast. I started watching YouTube videos again. Today, Dave Days released his new video. It was a cover song. I didn't like it much. At around 1:30 pm, I went to the kharghar center to pick up my sister from tuition. She didn't do well in her maths and chemistry tests. It was expected because she didn't prepare much. Anyways, after coming back, I sat with her, and explained the solutions to her. She was sad obviously but I tried to tell her that mistakes are fine, but the more important thing is to learn from them. After that, we had lunch. After lunch, I moved to my room and started browsing the net again. During the late afternoon, Alok invited me to a Hangout. I, Alok and his brother played the guitar together there. Although there was a time delay but we enjoyed listening and playing. After that, I moved to the drawing room to have some Tea. I also started watching the movie - "Hero No.1". I watched it after a long time. I realized that I miss such an entertaining movie. Anyways, the movie ended and I moved back to my room. After going through more random videos, I started writing this post. Next, I plan to have dinner and then go to sleep by 12:00 am.

Diary 72: Mom's Birthday and Sleeping Day

Yesterday I slept at around 2:30 am. Today I woke up at around 9:30 am. I brushed my teeth, had breakfast, and started watching the TV. Everyone was in the room. Today, my aunt and cousin were supposed to leave for Hyderabad. After the debacle yesterday, they were taking the safe option of going to airport by cab. Anyways, first part of the day was spent in front of the TV. Then, my aunt and cousin started their final preparation. Then, at around 11:45 am, they left in the cab that was booked for them. As soon as they left, heavy rainfall started. We didn't worry much as the time gap was too much (flight at 4:00 pm). So, I started browsing the net, and watched YouTube videos. This went on till 1 pm, when I received a call from my aunt that they were stuck in heavy traffic jam and the cab's engine has broken down. We all were wondering what the hell is wrong, because every time they try to leave Mumbai, something pulls them back. But, today they didn't remain stuck. They changed cabs, and reached airport well within time. We were finally relieved. After that, we had lunch. Then, I moved to my room and started browsing random stuff on net. My sister came in, and asked me few doubts. I was feeling very sleepy, so I decided to sleep it off. I had a long nap and woke up at around 8 pm. I was still dizzy, but caught hold of myself. Then, I got a call from my aunt that they have reached Hyderabad. I informed the same to my parents. Then, I had some Tea, and then started browsing random stuff on net - mainly YouTube. After that, my sister wanted to clear up her doubts. So, I helped her and even scolded her for not trying the questions to the fullest. She gave up in the initial stages itself. Well, then my Dad came in, and he started explaining. Meanwhile, I started practicing the chords for Delhi Belly's song - Bhaag DK Bose. Then, I moved to the drawing room to have dinner. Although today it was mom's birthday, nothing special happened, as we already celebrated it the day before yesterday. Also, we got the news that my Dad's uncle had died, so my parents were not in the mood for celebration. I didn't know that uncle but I heard that he was more than 90 years old but still was very active in social work and all. I hope his soul rests in peace. After the dinner, I moved back to my room, and started writing this post. Now, I plan to watch more random YouTube videos and then sleep by 3:00 am.

Diary 71: Missing Train Day

Yesterday, we slept at around 4:30 am. Today I woke up at 9:15 am, to bid adieu to my cousin and aunt. We all were feeling very sleepy because we didn't sleep much. Anyways, we all said goodbyes and I went back to the room to write the diary of the previous day. I ate my breakfast, and started watching some videos on YouTube especially related to Friday. After that I got a call from my aunt saying that she has boarded the local train from Vashi. I noted that down in my head and continued with whatever I was doing. Then, I was about to finish the diary when I received a call that the local train has halted just before the Kurla station and there was water everywhere. So, we started worrying. Anyways, there was lot of time left, so we were hoping that they would be able to catch the train. I informed my mom, but she was also not that much worried that time. Then, at around 12:30 pm, my aunt called me and told me that she was 1 station away from the destination. Then, at around 12:48 pm, she called me and informed me that  they missed the train. I informed my mom, and this time, she was shocked to hear that. Then, my aunt asked me to book bus tickets instead. But, my dad told them that the bus journey would not be safe during this weather. Then, after lots of discussion on phone, we decided that flight would be the safest option. So, I booked 2 tickets for tomorrow. I informed my aunt, so that they can start their return journey then. After that, I completed the diary, and went to take bath. Then, I waited for my aunt's call. I got the call after around 10 minutes, and then started moving to pick them up from CBD. I brought them back, and then we all discussed the situation. She missed a train for the first time in her life, so she was more disappointed than ever. Anyways, we forgot the situation and instead took a good rest. We all slept peacefully after having some lunch. We woke up later in the afternoon. I helped my aunt cancel her train's ticket then. After that we all started chatting and did random time pass throughout. I took out my electric guitar, and we started doing more time pass. I even sang a few songs. Then I started chatting with Alok, and we decided to hang out. But before that, we completed our dinner. Also, while we were hanging out the time crossed 12:00 am, and we all wished her happy birthday. I already had the guitar in my hands, so I played happy birthday. Alok played a solo also. It was fun. Then, everyone dispersed, and I started hanging out with Alok. We played numerous riffs and solos. My cousin and sister were also in the same room, and were able to listen to whatever I was playing. My sister was shocked to see Alok's long hair. After some long guitar session, I finally said goodbye and started writing this post. It took me a long time to write it. Next, I plan to sleep at around 2:50 am.

Diary 70: "Great" Celebration Day

Yesterday I slept at around 2:00 am. I had normal chit chat with my cousin brother before going to sleep. Today I woke up at around 11:30 am. I brushed my teeth and had breakfast. Then, I started watching random stuff on TV. Then, I moved to my room. I started watching YouTube videos of guitar playing. I took out my electric guitar too. I started learning "Cliffs of Dover" by Eric Johnson, but then my cousin bro suggested "DK Bose" from "Delhi-Belly". So, I started listening to it properly, and then started picking up the first solo. I downloaded the YouTube video also. Then, at around 1:45 pm, I , my aunt, and my cousin bro left for some minor shopping. We were buying flowers and bouquets for my mom and dad. For mom, because day after tomorrow is her birthday. For Dad, because he recently got promoted. Anyways, we picked up my sister too. She just came in from School. After that, we had a secret mission to accomplish. We hid the bouquets in the car itself. My aunt planned to make a card for Dad. She has already made one for mom. Anyways, I moved on with my guitar practice, and was finally able to crack the first solo. Then, we had lunch. After that, we just lazed around the whole afternoon. In the evening, the secret mission picked up again. We started making the card, and were planning on how to hide the flowers in the house itself. So, we finally came up with something, and hid the flowers in the balcony. I and my cousin bro went for some more shopping, but were attacked by heavy rains on the way. But we were successful in bringing almost everything that was required. We had to go to "Shampa Kaki's" house to bring some stuff. I told her that I have to leave early because we were in a secret mission. Anyways, I reached home and found out that Shampa Kaki told mom about the secret mission (not the mom's birthday part). I was very angry. I boiled with anger, but controlled my emotions just to not spoil the occasion. After that, we finished our card's business, and moved to the dining room to present the cards to both of them. I took out my SLR and captured the moments. I even took two videos in HD. We were having lots of fun. My SLR camera was finally appreciated by everyone. Later, we had some awesome momos, which were made by my aunt. Then, we all sat down and watched a lot of recorded videos - marriage anniversary, assam videos, performance videos. After that, we all gathered in the guest room and my sister performed a song followed by me. After we dispersed. But, I decided to record the "Dhauur" Song. So, we moved down to record it. It was fun. I will upload it soon. Next, I secretly browsed through my cousin bro's facebook account and realized that even my sister knows about his girlfriend. I realized that I am the only one who was out of the loop. They thought that I am the only one who is out of all these stuff. Only if they knew, what I did way before their present age. Anyways, with that realization, I slept and decided to move on and concentrate on my own well being. I slept at around 4:30 am.

Diary 68: Relatives and Dad's Promotion Day

Yesterday I slept at around 3:00 am. I was mainly watching YouTube videos. Anyways, Today I woke up at around 6:30 am. My sister informed me that my cousin brother and my aunt are on their way from Kharghar station. I quickly brushed my teeth, and got ready to receive them. My aunt was coming to this home for the first time. Then, they arrived and we all greeted each other. My sister left for school as soon as they came in. After that, we chatted with each other, ate breakfast and listened to the songs on the pen drive. We listened to my compositions - new and old. Then, I showed the new camera that I had bought to them. I even snapped a few pictures. Then, my mom had to leave for Puja at someone's house. So, I brought my cousin along to drop off my mom at that house. While coming back, we bought some ice cream cones. The day seemed to be running very slow since I had woken up so early today. Anyways, after that we just watched some random songs on TV. Then, I took out my electric guitar and played it. My cousin was very excited to see it work. He tried his hand at the acoustic one. After that, I took bath, and got ready for the lunch. My sister would be home in around 1 hour, and my cousin was hungry, so we decided to eat. Then, my sister arrived. She was very happy to see them again. She was hyper excited. Then, later we all ate the ice cream that we had bought. Mom then called, and asked me to come at the same place to pick me up. So, I went there along with my cousin and found out that mom was no where to be seen. So, I went on exploring inside the society and managed to get the flat number. I went in there to find that mom made the same old mistake of not picking up the phone. She kept the phone inside the bag, so she couldn't hear it properly. Anyways, my cousin was waiting near the car, and finally we were out of there. Then, after coming back, we just did normal chit chat and watched random videos. But after sometime, I was very sleepy, and so I had a nice afternoon nap. After I woke up, we decided to go for Paani Puri. So, I, my dad, cousin bro, sister, aunt left for that. In the way, we bought a MoMo making machine. It was quite big, but very useful. Anyways, I dropped off Dad at Sector 12, for some meeting. Then, we had paani puri, ice cream and returned home. After we returned, Mom gave us the good news that Dad got promoted to General Manager's position. So, it was a perfect situation to celebrate. My dad was still in the meeting, so we decided to celebrate it later. Then, I took out my SLR and started taking random snaps. After that we experimented with the continuous mode of taking snaps. We had lots of fun in that. We posed in various ways and places, and saw the change in those positions later in the computer screen. It was like a frame by frame movie. Just by looking at the faces, we laughed a lot and enjoyed a lot. Then, we had dinner and then gathered in the guest room to discuss random things. We sang a few songs, and I played the guitar too. Then, at around 12:00 am, we decided to disperse. I, my sister and cousin decided to enjoy further by taking more such snaps. Meanwhile, I found out that Gil had sent us a new assignment. It was an interesting one, and I started brainstorming about it. I got the whole picture and was excited to try it out sometime. Also, Alok pinged me and mentioned his problem with Shatabdi. Apparently, she was using him - the most common problem faced by men. I advised him to just tell the truth to her, and be free of any irritation or guilt feeling. Anyways, after that I moved back to enjoying with my cousin bro and sister. My cousin bro was extremely interested in ghost stories, so we even discussed those. After sometime, we all felt sleepy and decided to call it a day. We chatted for a while and then finally went to sleep at around 2:00 am.

Diary 67: No Office and FeastHunt Day

Yesterday I slept at around 3:15 am. Last night, Mahak asked me to call her up, because she needed to discuss a few things. It was an international call but I called her anyways. The discussion went fine. I gave her lots of advice on life and job hunt. I even mailed her the summary of that discussion. Anyways, Today I woke up at around 10:30 am. I informed my office that I am not well, and would not be available for two three days. So, I was set. I decided that I will not start by day with YouTube or anything. So, I started with JAVA. I completed the Day 11 chapter finally. Then, the most important part of the day kicked in. At around 2:30 pm, I, Akshay and Dallas were in a conference call with Harsh. We explained him our idea, and he responded very well to our queries and suggestions. He gave us very nice insights into the business side. I realized that I am not that bad a business person. His suggestions resonated with mine. His vision of the idea was very similar to what I had planned out. His next steps matched with mine. I have been telling both Akshay and Dallas to pay attention to the market survey but they were very lazy. I realized the importance of the experience of talking to the clients, and that was the exact point which Harsh told us. Anyways, after the call Akshay and Dallas called me again, to decide the next steps. After the call, I had lunch at around 4 pm. After the lunch, I was listening to songs on YouTube. I decided that I would cover "Teri Deewani" next. But then, my mom asked me to bring some things from the market. So, I went out. Unfortunately, when I was almost done with the shopping, I forgot my car keys inside the car. Then, I called up my mother, and asked her to find the other key. I gave her instructions on where to find the key. So, I walked back home to get the key from the security person. After that, I went back shopping for the rest of the things. After I was done with that, I returned home. After returning I went back to watching YouTube videos and all. I started listening the Shadab's version of "Teri Deewani", and I was spell bound. I dropped my idea of covering the song. I mean, it would be a disrespect to that version. In fact, I realized that the Shadab's version has more views on YouTube than the original version. Anyways, after that I had to help out my Dad with his credit card payment. Once again, I had to pay his bill. It was worth 16500 Rs!. Till date, I have paid around 50000 Rs on his credit card payments. It was frustrating but anyways, it was my duty. Then, we had dinner and dispersed for the night. I started watching YouTube videos again. Then, I started writing this post. Next, I plan to practice music and then sleep by around 2:30 am.
