Diary 66: Rebecca Black and YouTube Day

Yesterday I slept at around 3:30 am. Today I woke up at around 11:45 am. Then, I had my breakfast and checked my mails and all. I was feeling very lazy already because of the odd timings. I started listening to the Rebecca Black's song Friday (Link), and considering the popularity of the song I decided to cover that song in my own way. I tried recording a few times, but it didn't sound good, so I dropped the idea. The song is one of a kind. The lyrics are so bad, and that every other song can be better than this. Anyways, after that I had lunch at around 3:30 pm. After the lunch, I watched the movie -"Fanaa" starring Aamir Khan and Kajol. I had watched it earlier, but I watched it again. I realized that the movie is totally lame and there are so many flaws. After the movie, I moved back to my room, and started watching videos. I was putting in lots of comments on the Rebecca Black video and I even managed to get a reply from one her fan. He/she disliked all of my videos in my channel. It was quite funny. Meanwhile, I cleared my sister's doubts regarding graphs and latent heat. My mom and dad had to go to some meeting, so the dinner was delayed. We had dinner at around 11:20 pm. After that I came back to my room, and started watching videos again. I got good feedback from Janani regarding the songs I uploaded recently. Then, I made a video of the cover song and uploaded it on YouTube here. Next, I started writing this post. Now, I plan to watch few more videos and then sleep by 2:00 am.

Diary 65: Karaoke Cover and (Non) FeastHunt Day

Yesterday I slept at around 4:30 am. Today I woke up at around 10:45 am, with the call from Akshay. He said that the call with Harsh had to postponed because Harsh was down with fever. The call was rescheduled to Monday. I was disappointed but I had to move on. After that, I had breakfast, checked my mails and all. Then, I moved on to listening songs online. I came across the song which I had heard long ago - Teri Justajoo by Roop Kumar Rathod. Then, I decided to record the song. But this time, instead of recording it with guitar, I used the karaoke. I made the karaoke using cool edit pro, and it was descent. After recording it, I found out that my voice sounds so better with the karaoke's effects. The background echos, and reverberations added a nice feel to my voice. I listened to the song in the Home theater, and it felt good. I uploaded it and the link is here. After that, my sister arrived from school and we all had lunch. After the lunch, I dropped my sister to her tuition class. Then, I decided to think about the FeastHunt project for sometime. After getting the whole picture in my head, I called up the WebPrint Guy to fix up a meeting. Then, at around 5:30 I left for the meeting. I explained the whole thing to him, and he also gave me a lot of inputs. He added that the whole thing would take around 3 months, and the budget would exceed 1 Lakh. I was initially taken aback, but then on close introspection I realized that when divided among 3, the investment is lesser than one month's salary. Then, I came back home, and relaxed. After a small chit chat with my parents, I went to pick up my sister from the tuition. While coming back, we had paani puri. It was not that good as we expected. After coming back, I tried to get in touch with Dallas and Akshay, but they were no where to be seen. Anyways, somehow I contacted Dallas, and told him to call me up later. But as expected he didn't. I caught Akshay on gmail chat, and fixed 10:15 as our call time. Till then, I just revised the discussion with the Webprint guy. At around 10:30 pm, Akshay reminded me of the call by pinging. So I called them up, and we had a discussion about the budget and other things. Our monday call with Harsh is supposed to be an important call. Let's see what comes out of it. After that, I practiced a few songs (vocals), and tried to record one more cover, but it didn't turn out well enough. Then, we had dinner. I even watched the Day 5 of the India WI test match for a while. WI needed 281 to win, and they were at 103/3 around Tea time. I moved back to my room then. I was just browsing random things and checking out more things on google plus. Then, I had an idea of one song per day contest, but then found out that there is already a one song per week contest that happened on YouTube. It was not a contest actually, but still. Then, I started writing this post. Next, I plan to watch few more videos and sleep by 2:30 am.

Diary 64: Google Plus and Abhishek Day

Yesterday I slept at around 2:30 am. Today I woke up at around 9:15 am. I brushed my teeth, greeted my relatives and had breakfast. After that I checked my mails and all. I was all set to go to office and then meet Abhishek at Andheri. Then, suddenly a long discussion started between me and mom's choto mama. He started explaining me a lot of things. He has met Dhoni, so he was describing that incident to me. Also, he was telling me stories of his speeches at various places. Anyways, after that mom asked me to bring something from the market. That's when I decided that I can't go now. The direct train was gone. So, I called up Abhishek and after lot of convincing, he agreed to come to Vashi. He had to go to Pune after that, so it was a perfect staging area. He urged me to come with him, but I disagreed. Anyways, after that my relatives left for the train. They reached the station quite comfortably. My sister bunked school today, and so she was also there with me. Mom had to go for kitty party. So, it was only me and her. Then, the day turned towards Google Plus. I got an invite from Mahak, and I joined in. It was much like facebook with some new features such as Hangout and Friend Circles. I was not that excited. I invited many others. Alok joined in through me. At around 2:30 pm, we decided to have lunch. After the lunch, I called up Abhishek to check his location status. Then, I had bath and left for Vashi. At Vashi, I finally met him after a long time (4 years). He had false hair attached, so it was a bit weird at first. We got the bus ticket booked there itself for a Kharghar pick up. Then, we drove back to Kharghar. I brought him to my house. He met my sister first. Then, my mom came back from her party. So, her wish was fulfilled too. She wanted to meet him too. Anyways, after that we had some food, played some songs, and then left again to catch the bus. At the bus stop, we chatted a lot, mainly because the bus was very late. After he left, I came back and started playing the guitar. Meanwhile, we also tried the video conferencing thing on Google plus. I and Alok had a guitar war apparently. Then, I had dinner. After the dinner, I called up Akshay and Dallas to decide strategies on FeastHunt. I was already very disappointed with the progress. There were no inputs from them, I was the only one working here. After that I turned towards playing the guitar. I came up with three chords, and then I built over this. The result was weird. The link is here. Alok liked it, but said that the synchronization is missing a bit. I uploaded it anyways. Next, I started writing this post. Now, I plan to watch a few YouTube videos and then sleep by 4:00 am.

Diary 63: Relatives Day

Yesterday I slept at around 3:00 am. I was just obsessed with YouTube the whole time. Dave Days was getting into my head. Anyways, Today I woke up at around 10:00 am, and then called up Abhishek to finalize our meeting plan. He asked me to postpone it to tomorrow as he will not be able to make it within 5 pm, and add to that I had relatives coming over for just one night, so I didn't want to be rude. My mother's choto mama, mami, and their younger son were coming. So, it was good news for me. I got to stay at home again, and for one more day. I had no mood for JAVA today. I tried many times, but I couldn't. Instead, I was enjoying YouTube videos. I was totally addicted to it. It was like a drug, without which I cannot survive. It did nothing good except for giving me an inspiration to compose songs and sing again with the same vigor as I did earlier. The next part of the day, I focused on recording. I recorded this. This was originally composed long ago, but I never recorded it this way. Anyways, after this I practiced vocals and english pronunciation for some time. I took the help of YouTube for the same. I was using YouTube like food. After sometime, I just moved away from my laptop and took a bath before the relatives come in. I was practicing this whole time, even in shower. I liked it. After a long time, I was singing with that same will and energy. Anyways, my relatives came in. I realized that they were in a hurry. As soon as my mom's choto mama entered, without saying any hello or hi, he handed me the train tickets and ordered me to find out the timings of the trains and also book two more train tickets. I never handled so many train tickets before (7). Well, I did all that except for the booking part. After that we moved for dinner. At the dinner table, mom's choto mama started telling us that the moon landing was a hoax, and I started grinning. Then, I explained him the hoax in much more detail. I even gave him the shock about the 9/11 controversy. Initially he was not accepting it, but then I convinced him by giving him some very good examples. He was shocked. Then, we started watching the India WI test match. It was Day 3, WI were all out for 190, and thus India had a lead of 11 runs only. India started off fine (20/0), but the rain interrupted the match. After that, we decided to call it a day. Everyone went on to sleep, and I started watching YouTube videos again. Then, I started writing this post. Now, I plan to see a few more videos and then sleep by 2:00 am. 

Diary 62: And Just Another Day Again

Yesterday I slept at around 4:30 am. I recorded a new version of the Kisine and named it Kisine Upgrade. I also uploaded it in muziboo and here is the link. Anyways, I watched a lot of Youtube videos, and meanwhile completed the Day 10 of the JAVA book. Today I woke up at around 10:30 am. As usual, I brushed my teeth and went online to check the mails and all. I was depressed because the FeastHunt was going nowhere, and it seemed that I am the only one interested. Akshay and Dallas were too busy to do anything. So, in my mind, I decided that whatever money it takes, I will give the job to the webprint guy. Anyways, I started with JAVA's Day 11 chapter. I was pacing through the chapter till I reached a part where things got tough, so I left it for the time being as I was already too full of JAVA. Since I was dealing  with the same type of things, so I was a bit bored too. After that, I realized that it is June 29th. Two years ago, this day marked the beginning of my job life. Everyone of that batch was updating his/her status message. I dedicated the song "Kisine Upgrade" to them. Few of them heard it and liked it. Rest didn't care to listen. Anyways, the next part of the day was dedicated to write posts on Informatica B2B Data transformation. It took a lot of time, as I had to take snapshots, upload them etc. But, I was happy after that. Meanwhile, I got a call from Abhishek agarwala, and we decided to meet up in Andheri tomorrow. Then, I decided to look back into the "Induction Day Song" that I and Janani made, and Ojas wrote. I decided to re-record it again, but soon realized that it doesn't suit my voice. Anyways, I tried convincing my sister to sing it, but she denied. I was also helping her in doing her project work and home work. She is not that good in maths. In fact, not good at all. Her basics are very shaky. During the evening time, we ordered McDonald's. I used one of the coupons for that. We ate that as our dinner. After that, I started watching the India WI test match. India were all out for 201, and WI were chasing with 82/5. Then, I again started helping my sister with the maths problems. I moved back to my room, and browsed through random things. Then, I started writing this post. Next I plan to practice some music, and then sleep by 1:30 am.
