Yesterday I slept at around 3:00 am. I had a discussion with Gil, and he mentioned some changes that he would like me to do to the code. Today, I woke up at around 11:15 am. I went online, and informed Ankit about the changes that Gil wants us to do. Then, I started trying those changes out. I came up with two scenarios and realized that the new changes will not have much effect on the running time of the code. So, I composed a huge mail addressed to Gil in which I explained both the ideas. I guess he gave up and replied that I can do whatever I feel best, as far as it gives the correct output. Then, after some time, a mountain landed on us, when Gil informed us that the client has been looking into our code and also has edited our code. The problem was the version of the code they were working on. I almost had my heart in my mouth as I was trying to open the new code, but later realized that the changes were minimal. But, on the other hand, Ankit and the rest of the team concluded that there were lots of changes. I asked Rohit and the example that he gave me was trivial. I realized that since they don't have a bit of idea about the code that I had written, they cannot judge the amount of change that the client has made. Anyways, I was relaxed at this point because I didn't have much work now. Ankit was facing problems in some issue, but I decided not to help him this time. Later, I found out that there were few more implementations which were pending, and noted them down. I will implement them as soon as I get a proper version of the code. Then, I moved my attention to the Test match going on between India and England, and realized that India has no hope left at all. Cook scored a whooping 294, and Sehwag again scored a duck. He scored a king of pairs in fact - which means that he got out for 0 on the first ball for two consecutive innings. At the end of the day, India were some 35/1 or so. Then, I decided to watch some movie and I chose "Bhindi Bazaar". Well, it was just OK, and had the same old gang war story. I stopped it in between, and started to watch "Source Code". But, before that, I decided to write this post. Next, I plan to watch the movie and then sleep by around 3:45 am.
